GET OUT!! ☀️💪🏻 Try this sunshine workout and really push yourself through each interval to EARN that break! If you don’t have a bench, use stairs, or nothing. Just tap and squat (with or without a jump): 2min: Sprint/Run/Walk 30sec: Bench Taps **Optional Add: 10 Push-ups (w/feet on the bench or step, or just in the grass 😉) 30sec: Bench Jumps/Step Ups REST for 1min Repeat for 20min - or 4 SETS **You really don’t need more than this if you push yourself to your MAX through each interval!! **So many of you are finishing up the school year and taking the kids away to some deliciously beautiful destination. DANCE vs. FITNESS My journey as a professional dancer started over 25 years ago and came to pause in 2010 when I officially decided to pursue my passion for fitness. What I craved as both a dancer and a choreographer was the opportunity to let my spirit, energy, and passion SOAR and inspire others in a room. I didn’t want to hold back anymore. For years I loved creating and dancing to fill a specific vision and need. But it got stifling. Dance is a celebration of life!! A chance for us to set ourselves free and share that energy with the people around us. Fitness allowed me to do just that. To take all those years of expertise and inspire others to learn, grow, explore, and celebrate themselves within an incredibly supportive and inclusive community. That is what I love about fusing the two mediums. Booty booty booty!! 🍑💛🍑💛 Here’s a SUPERSTAR compound exercise that will give you everything you need for your back and booty to get those #gains this weekend😁 🤩 STONEHINGE - Place your knee in a bench or sofa behind you and make sure you have a 90deg angle in that front knee, aligning your knee over your ankle. Hinge forward at the waist keeping your back flat, keeping your body weight in your standing heel. Row the weights up past your ribs, retracting your shoulder blades, extend your arms down, and come back to your starting position (shoulders over hips) without straightening that supporting knee!! Summer is around the corner... and I know you are all gearing up for some serious travel. 🤗🏝👙 I have gotten so many questions from you all about tricks to help you maintain your results and stay on track while traveling. Here are some of my go to must haves: 🥗Snacks - don't leave home hungry! You never know what the food will look like in any given resort. I take bags of almonds, macadamia milk, biltong, plant based protein bars, seaweed snacks, paleo chocolate bars, and plant based protein powder to make sure I have a mixture of sweet, salty, crunchy, and healthy options! 🏃🏼‍♀️ Workout outfits - I pack them in outfits so that they are easy to grab and I'm encouraged to use each one before I head home! I also plan out my workouts ahead of time and check the options at the hotel/resort before I go. Make sure to ask the concierge what the busiest hours are to make sure you get the equipment you need! Check the outdoor running paths too! 🌤 Mornings - I ALWAYS workout first thing in the morning or it won't happen. I bring a portable speaker and start playing music as soon as I get up to get me in the mood and sometimes sleep in my workout outfit so that all I have to do is throw on my shoes, grab a coffee and get out of the room! My husband and I usually give each other an hour while the other watches the baby. We both are SO much better for the rest of the day!!! ✈️ What are your travel tricks??
